Our
history

Axcend was founded in 2004 by a team of engineers who believed industrial technology could be smarter, more connected, and more humane.

Since then, we’ve grown from a small engineering firm into a globally trusted partner — helping clients modernize legacy systems, design new products, and bridge the gap between IT and OT. Our story is still being written, and we continue to evolve by learning from every challenge, every factory floor, and every client we work with.

2004

Axcend incorporated!

What started in a garage in the suburbs of Bangalore with a vision to deliver niche IT-OT solutions was formally incorporated as a company.

2005

Acrodex partnership

Leading Canadian company, Acrodex, bought into our vision and kickstarted our journey to look beyond the domestic market.

2007

CMMi Level 3 certification

We became the earliest to adopt CMMi Level 3 for an IT-OT Hybrid Development Life cycle. This gave our customers the best of industry practices and quality assurance.

2009

Going Digital

We launched our Digital Manufacturing Practice which served as a centre of excellence to deliver digital solutions to the manufacturing industry.
We did this even before the initial chatters of Industry 4.0!

2012

CSIA certification

We received our CSIA certification, a global benchmarking audit that stood testimony to our business stability, quality and our adoption of industry best practices.

2015

Renewed rigour and hope

We had a management buyout to charter a new way for Axcend to push forward with reinforced energy and spirit.

2015

Axcend enters the US

Having delivered several successful solutions around the world, our US subsidiary was our plan to become local globally!

2016

Foray into the UK

We started working closely with System Integrators with a focus on the UK market, delivering stellar projects along the way.

2018

Smart Manufacturing

Always ahead of the curve, we further honed our Digital Manufacturing practice, establishing our Smart Manufacturing business line.

2020

Machomnis established

A global standard can be established only by continuous learning and feedback.
We established Machomnis with a vision to build a platform for Industry 4.0 knowledge dissemination & pedagogical intervention for transforming manufacturing practices.
